Gaujas Street in Ādaži has become a pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly street 16.08.2017
It is estimated that Gaujas Street, which was built almost 40 ago in Adaži, is used by about 10,000 cars a day. Now, after its reconstruction, it has become a street friendly to both pedestrians and cyclists alike. This reconstruction project worth about EUR 3 million has been adopted from the Netherlands and is considered to be a pilot project in Latvia. Overall, the reconstruction of Gaujas Street in Ādaži is unique, because of various technical-engineering solutions and materials used in it.
MONUM will build an industrial complex in Rēzekne 15.07.2017
On 14 July, MONUM signed a contract with Rēzekne City Council for the construction of an industrial complex and access road at Viļakas Street 1, Rēzekne.

The project envisages that in Ādaži, the stretch of Gaujas Street from Rīgas gatve up to the old council building will be rebuilt. After reconstruction, 18 red oaks, 17 deciduous lime trees, 7 pin oaks, 650 assorted bushes and over 5,900 blossoming cold-hardy plants will be planted on Gaujas Street.

On 2 July this year, Mežaparks hosted the third MONUM BMX Cup competition, in which 18 athletes of various age groups and skill categories competed for prizes and medals provided by MONUM, as well as the main prize for the strongest team – the travelling MONUM Cup.

On a day of celebration for the Republic of Latvia, 4 May, the long-anticipated Sigulda Sports Centre was finally formally opened to the public. Among those in attendance at the event, alongside the enthusiastic inhabitants of the town, were council representatives and home town sports stars including the outstanding skeleton racer Martins Dukurs. After an excursion around the enormous sports building, the guests were of one mind that the result had exceeded all their hopes.
