MONUM Launches Its First Development Project 04.02.2026

MONUM, a multi-disciplinary construction company that marked its 20th anniversary in the Latvian construction market last year by combining experience in infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and residential projects, is entering the next decade with a significant milestone — the development of its first self-initiated residential project in Riga’s Ķengarags district.

The project envisages the construction of two modern multi-apartment residential buildings comprising a total of 160 apartments, with sizes ranging from 30.1 to 95.9 square metres. The residential complex is being designed with a strong focus on functional layouts, thoughtfully developed architectural solutions, and high-quality construction, ensuring a living environment that meets contemporary standards.

Construction is scheduled to commence in spring 2026, with completion and commissioning of the buildings planned for summer 2027.

“This project is not just a new point on the map — it symbolizes our company’s evolution from a reliable construction contractor into a fully-fledged developer capable of creating sustainable urban spaces that enhance quality of life,” emphasizes Evita Domello, Member of the Management Board of MONUM.

The project is located in an area where urban infrastructure seamlessly blends with spaces for walking, recreation, and everyday outdoor activities. The nearby Daugava river promenade offers a well-developed environment for peaceful leisure, while maintaining convenient access to Riga city centre. The district’s development plans also include the creation of a new public park under the supervision of Riga City Council, which in the coming years will further enrich the area’s green infrastructure.

The residential complex is being designed in accordance with A+ energy efficiency class requirements. This ensures low energy consumption, a stable indoor microclimate, and reduced operating costs, while delivering a high level of living comfort and sustaining the long-term value of the property.

Over the past twenty years, MONUM has delivered a broad and diverse portfolio of construction projects across Latvia, including infrastructure facilities, multi-apartment residential buildings, public building renovations, as well as industrial and commercial developments. The company’s expertise in full-cycle construction and its ability to deliver projects “from concept to turnkey” have formed a solid foundation for its transition into the role of a real estate developer.
