MONUM supports the Latvian national luge sports team in the new 2023/2024 season 26.11.2023
On Friday, November 24, the 2023/2024 luge sports took place in the Mūkusala Business Center. season opening press conference.
Opening the press conference, the LKSF president says: “We are starting this season with optimism, considering that the team is in full force. All national team leaders will start and try to show their best this season. The season will start in North America and continue in Europe. The main competitions are, of course, the European Championships in Innsbruck, Austria, and the World Championships in Altenberg, Germany, but the two final stages will take place in Sigulda. Already for the second season, the supporter of the Sigulda stages will be the company PATA, the Latvian National Team will also be supported this season by the company KNAUF, and our cooperation with Citadeles banka, TV3 Group Latvija, Balcia, Latvijas Finieris, Monum and GTS will continue. Thanks also to the Ministry of Education and Science, which supports us with the largest funding. In terms of technical innovations, we continue the cooperation started with the Technical University of Latvia, which creates many different research programs, where we try to use all the opportunities to improve our technique. Chief mechanic Mārtiņš Rubenis deserves a lot of credit for this. On the other hand, Inārs Kivlenieks and Sandris Bērziņš introduce innovations on a daily basis. It must be said that technical innovations continue to develop.”
