The Latvian Construction Awards 2023 gala ceremony tool the place during the prestigious competition 11.03.2024
On March 7th, the grand ceremony of the Latvian Construction of the Year Award 2023 took place at the Culture Palace Ziemeļblāzma. Out of 145 received applications, 3 projects were selected for the Grand Prix award and the top 3 winners were congratulated in 10 categories.
At the same time, the laureates of the Latvian Engineer of the Year Award 2023 were honored.
In the New Specialist category, Kristers Alksnis received recognition, and in the Construction Site Manager category, Mārtiņš Vilce took the 1st place. We are truly proud of the achievements of our colleagues.
It is with honor and pride that we announce one of the Grand Prix awards was given to the Ogre State Gymnasium School and Sports Building (client: Ogre Municipality, project: NAMS, construction supervision: Akorda & Company L4).
Gunita Jansone, BDCC Director: “In Ogre Municipality, contrary to the negative trend of school closures, a new school building has been constructed that has attracted students and teachers not only from the district but also from Riga. The Ogre State Gymnasium building is currently one of the most modern in the Baltics, offering a wide range of programs. It also received an award in the international competition ‘Sustainability in Architecture, Construction, and Design 2023’.”
This event has become an annual tradition organized for 10 years now by the Building Design and Construction Council.
