On Wednesday, May 29, a contract was signed between SIA “Valmieras Namsaimnieks” and SIA “MONUM” for the construction of two new rental houses in Valmiera. The new project will feature two nearly zero-energy five-story apartment buildings with 120 apartments.

Based on the current demand for rental housing, the new project will include 52 two-room apartments (40.46-44.02 m²), 58 three-room apartments (54.52-61.67 m²), and 10 four-room apartments (72.75 m²). Two of these apartments will be adapted for people with mobility impairments. Each apartment will have one enclosed bicycle storage space, and some apartments will also feature a balcony. The buildings will be surrounded by landscaped areas with recreational zones and a parking lot.

The new rental houses will be built under the national housing construction support program for regions, funded by the European Union’s Recovery Fund.
