In Valmiera, state-supported low-rent multi-apartment residential buildings have been officially opened 09.10.2025

In the city of Valmiera, two low-rent multi-apartment residential buildings have been constructed under a state support program. The project was implemented by SIA “Valmieras namsaimnieks”, a company fully owned (100%) by the Valmiera Municipality. The buildings were constructed by SIA “MONUM”.

At the official opening ceremony, the importance of accessible, high-quality, and energy-efficient housing in the regions was emphasized as a key factor in strengthening competitiveness and promoting business development.

Andris Kabraks, Chairman of the Board of SIA “Valmieras namsaimnieks”, stated:
“The new rental houses are a step forward not only for the residents of Valmiera but also for the development of the entire region – the city continues to grow and develop economically. We are pleased that, thanks to the support of the state, European funds, and the professional team of SIA “MONUM”, our client base has increased by 120 households. These residents are now under our care, and our mission is to ensure them a comfortable and energy-efficient living environment.”

In Valmiera, at Ķieģeļu Street 11 and 13, two nearly zero-energy multi-apartment residential buildings have been constructed. The new project includes 120 apartments: 52 two-room (40.46–44.02 m²), 58 three-room (54.52–61.67 m²), and 10 four-room (72.75 m²) apartments. Two of the apartments are adapted for people with mobility impairments. The buildings were officially commissioned on October 8, 2025.
