Construction has started on a low-rent residential building at 3 Pļavas Street, Smiltene. The building will be a four-storey, nearly zero-energy residential house with 30 apartments.

The apartments will include:

• 7 one-bedroom apartments (36.80–54.23 m²)

• 18 two-bedroom apartments (48.15–60.70 m²)

• 5 three-bedroom apartments (68.12–73.46 m²)

One apartment will be adapted, if necessary, for people with reduced mobility.

New tenants will receive modern apartments with fully equipped kitchens and energy-efficient appliances. Each apartment will feature individual heat metering, essential plumbing, and ventilation with heat recovery. All apartments will have balconies, and the surrounding area will be landscaped with recreational zones, a playground, and underground waste containers. Each apartment will also be allocated one free parking space.
