In August 2026, MONUM signed a contract for the reconstruction of the Talsi Wastewater Treatment Plant in Ģibuļi Parish, Talsi Municipality. The project includes the modernisation of the sludge dewatering line and wastewater treatment equipment, as well as improvements to the facility’s energy efficiency.

The project aims to modernise the sludge dewatering line and enhance the overall energy efficiency of the treatment plant. The reconstruction will enable more efficient treatment of sewage sludge, reduce energy consumption and operating costs, improve operational reliability, and minimise the facility’s environmental impact.

The planned works include replacing the existing sludge centrifuge with a more efficient sludge press, upgrading the third wastewater treatment line, and modernising the plant’s control system. These improvements will enhance wastewater treatment quality, reduce sludge management and energy costs, and decrease the amount of pollutants discharged into the environment.

The project was commissioned by SIA “Talsu ūdens” and is scheduled for completion within 12 months.
