Honouring the Laureates of the 2025 Grand Construction Industry Award 10.10.2025

On October 8, a solemn ceremony took place at the Small Guild, where the Grand Construction Industry Award – “Foundation Stone” was presented. This year, twelve laureates received this prestigious industry recognition.

The Grand Construction Industry Award was organised for the 12th time, and its principles have remained unchanged throughout the years – to honour, on a national level, the best of the best: the most professional and knowledgeable civil engineers and architects whose contribution to the industry and profession deserves the highest recognition.

The award is organised by the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers and the magazine Būvinženieris, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Digital Governance and Regional Development, and other non-governmental organisations representing the construction industry.

Traditionally, the Grand Construction Industry Award is presented in two main categories – Lifetime Achievement in the Construction Industry and Engineer/Architect of the Year, which include several nominations: Engineer of the Year, Architect of the Year, Young Engineer of the Year, Structural Engineer of the Year, Project Manager of the Year, Construction Supervisor of the Year, and others. In addition, universities in the field nominate candidates for the title Student of the Year – an award given annually to two young professionals, one master’s and one bachelor’s graduate.

In the category “Lifetime Achievement in the Construction Industry”, the Grand Construction Industry Award – “Foundation Stone” was presented to six laureates this year. One of the Foundation Stones was awarded to Modris Ozoliņš, Responsible Construction Works Manager and Board Member at SIA MONUM, whose professional experience in the industry spans an impressive 53 years.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Modris Ozoliņš for his long-standing work, perseverance, and dedication to the profession!

We are proud of our team’s achievements and remain committed to strengthening Latvia’s construction traditions by delivering high-quality and sustainable projects across the country.
