We are proud of our achievements in the major competition “Best Building of the Year in Latvia in 2017″.  MONUM was awarded second place in the category “Best Engineering Structure of the Year” for the reconstruction of Gaujas Street in Ādaži, while the company also received third place in the category “Best New Public Building of the Year” for the construction of Sigulda Sports Centre. 

The competition “Best Building of the Year in Latvia in 2017“ is the only competition organised by 16 public organisations within the construction industry in the country. The objective of the competition is to foster the quality of the construction process, identifying and promoting the best building and examples of best practice within the construction industry in Latvia and abroad in 2017, encouraging professional growth and the quality of work within the industry, recognizing and motivating industry representatives to tackle professional challenges, accenting the end result of the construction process, i.e. the building.

The competition is based on clearly defined quality criteria. The buildings are judged objectively by 44 experts, who have been delegated to work on the jury by the 17 public organisations in the construction sector. The competition was taking place for the 20th time and is an event celebrating the centenary of the Latvian State.
