Latvia is the only Baltic country that organizes the Sustainability in Architecture, Construction and Design 2020 competition dedicated to sustainable building, architecture and design, which this year presented significant objects, projects and design ideas, which are judged by an international jury.

In the nomination of the BUILDINGS competition, the Ādaži Basic School, built by MONUM, is one of the most modern school buildings in Latvia, where universal and sustainable positions, cost-effectiveness, rational logistics, and a modern food system were evaluated. The architecture of the school is based on modules, which, depending on the increase in the number of students, can be expanded by adding additional space in several layers.

The results of the competition “Sustainable Development in Architecture, Construction, Design 2020” will be announced tonight, September 2, in the new and already popular Ogre Library.
