A “time capsule” of a different format has been installed in the Deglava Painters’ Residence 20.09.2023

At a solemn event on September 19, the builders of the Deglava Painters’ Residence real estate met with the management of the Development Committee of the Riga City Council and representatives of the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency to create a common message of the future for future residents of the project. Although it is customary to embed a time capsule in the initial stage of construction, this time a unique painting was created, which contains in the form of a collage the drawings created by the children of Purvciema and Pļavnieku neighborhood celebrations and the wishes of the involved parties to the residents. This painting will be installed in the stairwell of the new houses, so the wishes can be seen every day.

As the project manager of the real estate development company “Electra” Kristaps Lukašinskis mentions, any new project is a “port of peace” for Riga residents who are looking for an opportunity to move to better living conditions, while we, as a developer, implement this by building modern apartments, improving the environment and creating a community of new families, moreover, in their usual location – Pļavnieki.

Inese Andersone, chairperson of the Riga City Council’s Development Committee, appreciated the Deglava Painters’ Residence project because it does not interfere with the existing plan, but complements it. “Such new projects are challenging, however, changes in the neighborhood are necessary, and we are creating an opportunity to reduce the bureaucratic burden for such projects, going forward and also promoting a faster construction process.”

Deglava Painters’ Residence is a real estate project in which it is planned to build 6 ten-story buildings. 2 out of 6 buildings have already been built and put into operation, while in the next round (in the next 2 buildings that are currently being built) 65% of the apartments have already been reserved. The demand of the population is high, it is promoted by sustainable housing solutions and low utility bills, which also improve the quality of life of the population.

The developer of the project is the Israeli developer “Electra”, which is represented in Latvia by KSIA “Unico”, the house builder “Monum”, the architect office SIA “Tectum”, and the project is financed by “Rietumu Banka”.
