The international beach football championship took place from 3-7 September in Batumi, Georgia. The eight best teams from Latvia, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan participated in the championship.  

Thanks to MONUM’s support, Latvia was represented by ‘VBFK Jūrmala’, reaching the 2^nd place in the preliminary rounds and afterwards qualifying for the playoffs. In a tough game with the Georgian champions ‘Dinamo’, ‘VBFK Jūrmala’ won 4:2. However, in the finals the Kazakhstan team “Arman” won 4:6, thus leaving ‘VBFK Jūrmala’ in 2^nd place in the overall standings.
