The main competition for elite and junior athletes of the World BMX championship was held in Rotterdam. Latvian national team athlete Edžus Treimanis managed to get the fourth place in the grand finals of the prestigious elite men’s group, despite a massive fall. Meanwhile in the semi-finals Māris Štrombergs, who had a solid second place, suffered a fall due to a broken tire and did not get to the finals.
