’MONUM’ will design and build the new biomass boiler house in Kauguri, Jūrmala 10.07.2015
After winning the open tender process “Construction of Kauguri district central boiler house with biomass (wood chips) fuel”, we have entered into an agreement with ‘Jurmalas Siltums’ Ltd. to design and build the new Kauguri boiler house. The project with total contract sum of almost 5.2 million euro is co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund.
During the project ‘MONUM’ will install two new chips boilers – with a capacity of 5 MW each and 2 MW economizer. This would reduce the current total “Jūrmalas siltums” gas consumption by 41% and provide population of Kauguri district with heat that is produced from renewable energy sources 71.2% of total demand.
