On December 19, a dragonfly festival took place in the new building of Sigulda State Gymnasium. The work on the assembly of all the load-bearing structures of the gymnasium’s natural sciences and mathematics study building has been completed, we are continuing the construction of the facade decoration and engineering communications.

“The Dragonfly Festival is a tradition that symbolizes the significant construction of the building and the completion of the main construction works, when the building has acquired its shape and it remains to give it the author’s intended look. I wish Sigulda always curious and responsible young Sigulda people who will study at this school, cultivate our traditions, maintain our customs and shape our society in the future, ”said Gintars Dardets, Technical Director of MONUM, during his speech at the event.

MONUM would like to thank the team of this important project – first of all the direct contractors, the author of the project, the construction team and the customer.

It is planned that approximately 450 students will start studies in the new building of Sigulda State Gymnasium next school year. The new building will be an open and modern environment with eleven classrooms with laboratories and auxiliary rooms, a multimedia auditorium and an information center with a digital library.

The client of the new building of Sigulda State Gymnasium is Sigulda municipality, the author of the project is Andris Kokins, author supervision is performed by SIA “K IDEA”, construction supervision is performed by SIA “Firma L4”.
