The modernized boiler house was opened in Sigulda 14.02.2024
On February 13, the modernized boiler house of “Adven Sigulda” was opened in Pulkveža Brieža Street, Sigulda, which will be able to ensure the production of sustainable and environmentally friendly energy. With the implementation of the boiler house modernization project, the equipment installed during the Soviet era was replaced, thus significantly increasing the efficiency of the heat source and the compliance of the heat supply system of the city of Sigulda with environmental protection requirements, as well as improving the quality of life of the residents.
By installing a new 6MW biofuel boiler and replacing the equipment installed during the Soviet era, which has experienced transitions in the use of various fuels – from liquid fuel to natural gas, later even wood chips – the efficiency of the heat source is increased by almost 20%. Also, with the implementation of the project, it is planned to reduce CO2 emissions up to 1369 tons per year.
“This project is a valuable step forward in the development of our bioregion, confirming the commitment to develop energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heat supply systems. The cooperation of “Adven Sigulda” and “Monum” is an excellent example of how companies can work together to promote sustainable development, which has a beneficial effect on both the environment and the local community,” says the Acting Chairman of the Sigulda District Municipal Council about the boiler house modernization project Kristaps Zaļais.
We thank the project manager Andris Circenis, as well as the entire MONUM team involved in the project – both production and administration – for the excellent result.
