The first demo apartment in Valmiera`s rental apartment building has been presented 28.09.2017
On Thursday, 28 September, the first fully completed and fitted three-room apartment in the rental building in Valmiera was presented.
The event was attended by Valmiera City Municipal Council Chairman Jānis Baiks, SIA “Valmieras Namsaimnieks” Chairman of the Board Valdis Jēgers along with MONUM Chairman of the Board Māris Ozoliņš and Construction Project Manager Kaspars Brencis.
In the apartment buildings, residents will have access to 15 one-room apartments spanning 25-30 m2, 90 two-room apartments spanning 34-41m2, as well as 45 three-room apartments spanning 50-54 m2. Individual two-room and three-room apartments will have balconies. On the basement floor, each apartment will have access to a storage space spanning 4m2, will the staircase on the first floor will have a section for parking prams and bicycles. To make residence in the rental apartment building suitable for people with disabilities, an appropriately fitted lift will be installed as part of each staircase from the basement floor to the 5th floor. Two one-room apartments are planned for the requirements and convenience of people with disabilities. Two corresponding parking spaces will also be provided in the car park.
At present, the utilities – water mains and sewerage – for the buildings and territory are being built. In one building, the roof construction has been completed along with the construction of the load-bearing reinforced constructions. Meanwhile, indoor work is taking place in the apartments. In turn, the foundations are being reinforced in the second building, while reinforced concrete constructions are assembled. Currently, roof construction building work is being carried out, while indoor construction work has also begun. Although the local boiler house remains to be built, in future it is planned that the buildings will be connected to the city’s centralized heating system. The territory adjoining the buildings will be landscaped. A total of 150 parking spaces are planned. In addition, the courtyard will contain a children’s playground, volleyball and basketball court, as well as quite a big green zone. Although work on the second building has been delayed, it is planned that both rental buildings will enter service as a unified object by March 2018.
Back in October, interested parties were given the chance to visit and view the demonstration apartment in order to get an idea of its dimensions, finish and other important matters of interest to potential tenants. Apartments will be offered to tenants complete with full interior finish, inbuilt kitchen fittings, a sink, an electric cooker surface, oven and cooker hood. Plumbing and an electric towel drier will be installed in the bathroom, along with a connection for a washing machine.
