MONUM has signed a contract with Sigulda Municipality for the construction of Sigulda State Gymnasium’s education block and reconstruction of the existing school building in Ata Kronvalda street 7.

There will be 12 classrooms, teachers’ rooms, dining hall, assembly hall, library, elevator, as well as technical premises located in the new school block in Ata Kronvalda street. An open and student-friendly environment will be created in the school, by designing a special area for resting and individual work. It is also planned to create a well-organized school’s yard, while keeping and reconstructing the main entrance of the existing school building. By redesigning the existing school premises and constructing the new school block, energy effective buildings with modern lighting, ventilation and heating supply systems will be developed.

It is scheduled to start the building work already this summer. The school reconstruction and construction works will be performed in two stages, in order not to interfere in the education process and provide a safe environment for the students.

Total costs of the project amount to 11 895 000 euros.
