It is planned that work in the school’s new building will be able to start during the 2019/2020 school year, while construction of the second stage of the school building (sports hall) and the third phase (specialised classrooms) is due to be completed by December 2022. The school’s new building is intended to be used by pupils in Grades 1-4, while the existing Ādaži Secondary School building will continue to be used by pupils in Grades 5-12.
“The new school is not just a building, it will be a place where the little residents of Ādaži acquire knowledge, a view of life and values that will be the foundation of their life,” said Ādaži Regional Council Chairman Māris Sprindžuks at the opening ceremony.
“A teaching environment corresponding to contemporary and new education methods is one of the cornerstones of a better education. We are honoured that, as builders, we can be part of the changes currently taking place within the nation’s education system, and through our work provide schoolchildren in Ādaži Region with a quality and modern teaching environment,” explains MONUM Chairman of the Board Māris Ozoliņš.
