Over the weekend, from 30 to 31 May, exciting BMX competition will take place in Riga Mezaparks BMX track. On Saturday, May 30, Riga Cup will be held, but on Sunday, May 31, Riga Grand Prix first stage will take place. The race promises to be exciting for all the age groups, especially in the elite group where world famous Latvian elite BMX riders Edzus Treimanis, Rihards Veide and Kristens Krigers will take part. The Latvian BMX elite is supported by ’MONUM’. Trigger rides are expected from 16:00 on Saturday. It is planned that the Cup will bring together around 300 BMX cyclists from Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Finnish and Russian BMX clubs.

On Sunday, May 31, Riga Grand Prix the most decisive trips are planned around 15:00. The first stage of Riga Grand Prix is devoted to Harijs Osis, one of the founders of Latvian BMX racing and sports club ’Favorits’. 15-16 year old age group will compete for the Harijs Osis cup.

The competition is organized by BMX club ’Rigas Favorits’, which is supported for several years by ’MONUM’.
