The reconstructed boiler-house in Nica opened 13.01.2016
On 9 January, the reconstructed boiler-house in Nica was opened with a solemn ribbon cutting ceremony.
After solemn speeches the boiler-house was opened for the first visitors. The visitors, especially the local citizens from the apartment buildings and representatives from the local government institutions had the opportunity to witness the process of woodchip being passed on to the boiler, as well as to look at the computerised management system and the generator installed for uninterrupted operation of the boiler-house in the case of power outage.
In May 2015 MONUM began to reconstruct the boiler-house which had become physically and morally obsolete, and successfully finished the works in half a year. During the reconstruction we installed proper equipment, boilers and mechanisms in order to apply heating by woodchips. A new warehouse was built and the existent warehouse at the property Cukuri in Nica Municipality was reconstructed, by adjusting it for the storing of woodchips.
According to the owners of the boiler-house, the main advantages of the project are the efficiency and convenient maintenance.
