MONUM starts assembling reinforced concrete structures in Valmiera 08.03.2017
Under the watchful eye of Monum’s professionals, work is fully under way in Valmiera on the construction of two multi-apartment rental buildings. This week, the first consignments of prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, made in Latvia and tested under Scandinavian climatic conditions, were received and currently they are in the process of being assembled.
Monum Project Manager Kaspars Brencis told the Latvian Television Panorāma programme that, “They are triple-layered panels made of a load-bearing reinforced concrete layer, a layer of thermal insulation and an exterior finishing layer. We are receiving a supply of pre-fabricated wall panels and surface panels. They are being built upwards like a large Lego construction.”
