Message capsule built into the foundations of an industrial complex in Rēzekne 18.12.2017

On Thursday 23 November, a message capsule was bricked into the foundations of a future industrial complex in Rēzekne. To underline the uniqueness and significance of the project, the capsule will contain a special message for future generations. The capsule will also contain the 18 November 2017 edition of the municipal newspaper “Rēzeknes Vēstnesis”, whose main subject is the 99th anniversary celebrations of the proclamation of Latvia.

The event was attended by guests involved in the project from all over Latvia. The capsule was bricked into place by Rēzekne City Council Chairman Aleksandrs Bartaševičs, Rēzekne Special Economic Zone Administrator Sandra Ežmale, “MONUM” construction company Board Member Māris Ozoliņš, the responsible construction supervisor representing construction supervision company SIA “Isliena V” Pēteris Šnevelis, as well as the representative of the author’s supervision company SIA “Ceturtais stils” Rolands Gruzītis.

In accordance with the project,  on a plot of municipal land, it is planned to build an industrial building at Viļakas Street 1, spanning 6,784.13 m2, including a production plant spanning 4,981.20 m2, and office covering an area of 1,802.93 m2.

The building will be equipped with all the necessary utilities: water and sewerage, heating, ventilation and power. It is also planned to build an automatic fire extinguishing system and earthing and lightning system.
