On July 8, 2020, at the award ceremony of the competition “Woman in Architecture, Construction, Design 2019”, MONUM project manager Rita Markova-Gavrilova received an award for a significant contribution in the nomination “Woman Builder”.

Rita Markova-Gavrilova’s long-term and convincing work experience, implemented large-scale projects, as well as industry awards in the past are success factors that have contributed to the victory in this competition as well. Rita’s projects and their uniqueness testify to her professionalism, versatility and ability to implement complex ideas.

The brightest achievement of recent years is the new study building of Sigulda State Gymnasium

Among Rita’s recent projects is the construction of the new study building of Sigulda State Gymnasium. It is characterized not only by bringing architecturally bold ideas to life, but also by practical challenges during construction. The work was carried out on a small construction site, at the same time for the students’ learning. As a result of the project, the gymnasium has become an open and student-friendly environment with a place for rest and individual work, as well as a well-maintained school yard. The comprehensive glass facade and the chosen color solution create a dynamic and modern impression.

Work as a way of life for more than 30 years

Rita Markova-Gavrilova’s experience in construction is impressive – more than 30 years. The first 15 years of her work have been spent in design, which is a valuable basis for further career development and a significant contribution to every project she has implemented. The ability to read projects and evaluate them also from the designer’s point of view means high added value not only for Rita’s team and daily cooperation partners, but also for the company as a whole. Working for Rita is much more than performing daily tasks – it is a lifestyle that has shaped her personality for almost 40 years.
